......that you dinged them Large Money for that escapade, and agree that the estimator in question never carried a sofa, loading or unloading. is he perhaps a relative of management ?
those were the ones i loved. 'oh, it's a two-day job.'
seven days later.......

Hi Random, No he wasnt a realtive of management, just yet another plonker with a degree in some obscure subject, that managed to con his way into a top in the real world
You know the type, mid twenties, never done a days work in his life, just finished his extra long edcuation?

one time......only once.....i got a 'suit' to go with me.
for just a few hours.....but suddenly the 'guesstimates' got a wee tad more.....reasonable.
it may be possible that one swing of a framing hammer that dropped nearly the whole ceiling in what i was supposed to patch in one hour got his attention, somehow.
ceilings have a way of doing that.
i hope.....

I have and never would like to work in an office type profession
I must admit when I was a welding inspector there was a lot of paper work to be done, yet I always managed to pan it off on someone else, leaving me to be out on the job, working amongst the steel and the noise, back where I felt I belonged
Too much back stabbing and bitching with office staff, and most of them had never seen the site or a rig, let alone worked on one

yeah, there's some of us that....just shouldn't be in an office. it's not that i can't 'play nice with others',just that it's more fun to be Out There where i can SEE work, not an in-box and an out-box.
and wearing a tie ? i doubt if i could tie one anymore.
i hope.....

Ive always hated wearing a tie
Even the old ambulance service uniform we had to wear a clip on one, which surprised many a junkie or stroppy patient when thay grabbed it
Smudger,
