i now need help to dig me out of a plot hole. I've got no idea what to visit upon team 10 to make them pull out, what did go on in the village, am i actally talking to anybody, AM I GOING INSANE?!?!

we were there in the first place because of the green creatures
perhaps if nothing is happening we could write the adventure off as unconcluded and then start something more simple???

Sounds like a cop out.
Even if we do that we need to explain how the cameras got pulled and the team had to move and pull out. i've dug myself into a plot hole.

You and I are high command, I ordered them in, they pulled out after contacting asking for immediate extraction, which i then ordered.
sod it i've got an idea. i'll come up with something

ok for the moment im taking the team off the mission and asigning a smaller group to maintain security and to keep watching.
um...well something should happen soon yes..i'll think and you do so as wel see if we can cobble something together.
how about a sudden flurry of activity....maybe meant to distracts us from something else happening on the island?
