I happened to be up late and outdoors on Tuesday the 8th, (a whole four days before the shower) and there were already massive amonts of meteors (I saw maybe 20 within a couple hours, when I was paying any attention to the sky). So take heart: even if you miss (or plan on missing) peak time, you may still be able to catch a show on ensuing nights.

I plan to be out there early Saturday morning, hawaii time, but exactly how do I post the results? I'm a Guide newbie, and I don't know how to make a page or anything.

I'll put your name down on the results page, which is linked from the Perseids Project page. There are samples of what data we're looking for there and a listing in the forum at the bottom of that page of what your results should look like.
Where in Hawaii?

Kailua-Kona, on the Big Island (The island is also called Hawaii. Go figure.) If you can't find Kona on a map (it's not a rare occourance) just not that I'm on the west side of the biggest island there.
