That was fun, I just looked through the gallery. Picked up on some nice touches. I like the last few especially where you've incorporated most of the earlier ones into the patrolling ship. I would just say one thing - in the last one with Kelli on troll island, you can't really make out Z on the top of the good ship "cabal". I don't know if that can be fixed easily, but I just thought I'd point it out.

Thanks Dealer! The lack of contrast between Z and the sky was something I had completely overlooked - a trap for the uninitiated I guess...
I have had a go at making it better... with mixed results

no, that's good, the blue background does the trick. I guess we just lost some of the other cabalists?

I just came across a painting by one of my current favorite artists (he does brilliant and whimsical martinis) called 'The Case of the Bad Apple'. Had to share this one. http://www.michaelgodard.com/viewimages.asp?OriginalID=928
Must also go peek through the cabal pics again if they're changing.

Although the trolls seem to have disappeared , there have been some equally unsavoury characters posting inane twaddle around here (e.g. F2209693?thread=691262) and there have been suggestions (F2102830?thread=639183&skip=180&show=20#p7734921 - post 197) that some new, altogether different, cable pics might be in order...
So...

It's simply a work in progress, so I'm not worried about the ugly URL for now
My next thought is 'the stations of the cross' or maybe a series of stained glass windows...

=======================
Looking across the picture from left to right:
(1) Bartholomew
(2) James Minor and
(3) Andrew
form a group of three. All are aghast, Andrew to the point of holding his hands up in a "stop!" gesture.
(4) Judas
(5) Peter and
(6) John
form the next group of three.
Judas, you will note, has his face in shadow and is clutching a small bag (of silver?).
Peter is visibly angry and
a feminine-looking John seems about to swoon.
(7) Christ is the calm in the midst of the storm.
(8) Thomas,
(9) James Major and
(10) Philip are next.
Thomas is clearly agitated,
James Major stunned and
Philip seems to be seeking clarification.
(11) Matthew,
(12) Thaddeus and
(13) Simon comprise the last group of three figures.
It appears that, when a situation turns ugly, Simon is the "go to" guy for explanations.

So...
Who is who? i.e. Which cabalista is which disciple???
I think its obvious that Az gets lucky number 7
And I'd like to be Peter - simply cos I'd like to be 'the rock'!
Other than that, I think a 'First up, best dressed' approach is the best option, so please nominate yourself - preferably with a reason why - in this thread
Once we're agreed on who is who, I'll need pictures of each cabalista/disciple taken at the right angle and preferably with the right lighting, although I can tweak this if need be
Please email suitable profile shots (as jpegs or similar) to six dot sevens at gmail dot com
Anthoo...
nominations please!

Well, the only request I made to six7s is that I not have a beard!
Meanwhile, echo, perhaps you could be 'present at dinner' in your Snoopy disguise?
And FB, we already have a 'profile photo' of you, so which disciple would you like to be?

Hmmm.
Possibly Andrew, as a kind of swap.
Or Philip. Asking for clarification being part of my modus operandi.

Re: The Last Supper....
I'd like to be "John"*. John looks more like "he" is Mary Magdalene and because everyone thinks "Mudhooks" is a guy, but I'm not, I think I am a perfect fit! Besides, I think that I am the "woman behind man".
*(sort of, the woman-standing-in-for-the-man-who-looks-like-a-woman-but-is-really-a-woman-everyone-thinks-is-a-man behind the-woman-standing-in-for-a-man)... y'know?

Well, it's coming along quite nicely. So far we have:
4. Judas - FB
5. Peter - six7s
6. John - Mudhooks
10. Phillip - Noggin
Echo, any preference?
