Er...is that as in ...in which case works pretty well...or as in .
(Actually...the second one would be quite handy. You could say 'You're pal!')

And I'm not Scottish but I used to work in an Army barracks where the Scots Guards were based so every so often as a treat they used to get a full scottish breakfast
Does anyone apart from Scottish Soldiers eat 'Stovies'

No. In fact...no Scots people apart from soldiers eat stovies.
(Not strictly accurate. Stovies are (is?) largely regarded as a 'traditional' dish that granny used to make. However, one or two pubs sell it - and Morrisons do a ready-made version. It's (they're?) tasty! Basically, it's a dry stew.)
Oh...and the technical name for square sausage is Lorne sausage.

Stakis hotels used to do a vegetarian full Scottish...vegetarian haggis, vegetarian sausage (links and Lorne), vegetarian black pudding...
