I wouldnt complain if someone were to go there and comment.
Or is it too boring a subject?

good entry, but I think it could do with some of the political background. One of the complaints levelled at the court is that it is too political, and often rules so as to increase it's own power. Another is that it destroys national sovereignty. Some comment on this more interesting side would be good, I think, and help to stir up debate...

Short but to the point. I like it.
Perhaps now would be a good time to run it through a spell check.

Hi.
Looks groovy to me. I can't comment on the content too much, as I try to avoid politics as much as possible, but I found it very informative and concise. One nit-picky point: the green writing doesn't come out very well on the classic goo background.

I am pretty sure most of the stuff that makes it so pretty will be ripped out when it is edited It is good, but I would like to actually read the convention, know the exceptions, that sort of thing. Do you have it, can you put it in? Until later......

Yeah, I do have it in bookelt form, I suppose I _could_ type it all up and put it in, but the idea of the article was to provide an overview of the document. Do you think I should put what I already have as an introduction and then put the full convention afterwards?

It is up to you, but it does sound like a good idea. Or maybe have this called An Introduction to The European Convention on Human Rights, and then write another Entry called The European Convention of Human Rights, which has the text in it But as I say, it is up to you
Hope this helps. Until later....

Isn't there going to be a copyright problem with including a substantial part of the text of the booklet? I think it's fine as it is.

I am not sure about the European Convention, but the Universal Decleration actually said (paraphrasing) 'this is to be spread as far as poss.' And how can something like this be copywritable? Any interpretations taken from the booklet, yes, but the actual Convention Article itself, I wouldn't of thought so. And if it is, then there is something majorly wrong here......

If the authors intended that to mean that it should be available online then it will already be there on an official site and will only need a link.

Amy, you are probably right about copyright, I dont think we ought to risk h2g2 being sued by the European Commission... there _is_ an official website, i think its coe.eu but i will check

I think that linking to those sites from the article would be fine, and would certainly save your fingers from typing out the booklet
