So now what happens?

A Scout comes along and picks your Entry. Then it is sent to the Sub-Ed, who tidies it up, make sure it fits in the Edited Guide. It is then passed back to The Towers, where they give it the once over, just to make sure. It is then put on the front page and in The Edited Guide However, it may take a bit of time. The Sub-Eds are finishing of the queue from the previous system, though they are more than half the way through it, so until it is finished the Scouts are only recommending a handful a week. Patience is needed
Hope this helps. Until later....

Patience I have. Will I be notified if a subeditor edits it?

I am notifying you, in this very forum, that a scout (me) has submitted this entry to the editors for the edited guide....
....And you'll be pleased to hear that they like it very much! Congratulations, in a short while, once the entry has been passed through the sub-editors, your article will be there for all to see in the official edited guide!
Keep up the good work!

Hi again.
Forgot to close off the thread, so here goes:
"Thanks for your recommendation. You'll be glad to know that we think this entry is great, and it has now gone into the Editorial Process for future inclusion in the Edited Guide. When it does get into the Edited Guide, we will email to let you know, but please bear in mind it can take a while for entries to go through the sub-editing system."
Cheers,
Adam

Editorial note: This thread has been moved off the Peer Review page to the entry's own forums, as it has now been accepted for editing.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
