A Conversation for FLAMENCO DANCE

12 years ago. I spent 4 months in Europe back in 1988, with the first 6 weeks roaming around Spain. I wish I'd known more about Flamenco at the time. The first time I experienced Flamenco, I went to a bar in Madrid, just off the Plaza Mayor. I wasn't impressed - at least not with the singing. I really liked the guitar work though. The dancing didn't do much for me either. At least at the time. But there was a rather attractive young Japanese woman in the bar - unfortunately my limited grasp of Spanish kept me from . . .
Ehr, uhm. Yes, well anyway . . .
I confess, it was ignorance on my part. I didn't have a background to put my experience into perspective or really understand it. I tried again in Sevilla. With similar results, solo sin la mujer japonese. Reading through your entry gave me enough information that, now, 12 years later. I can start to appreciate what I saw and heard. Thank you.

Thank you, Jake!
The article is still not quite ready, I'm not finished polishing off the details...

Titania, I notice your excellent article has been recommended for acceptance by the h2g2 editors. Well done.

Thanks, Løøny, but when I tried to find out who recommended it, I came up with nothing. I'm starting to suspect that "recommended" comes up beacuse I SUBMITTED my Entry 'Flamenco Tablao' before they changed the system...
And now I've moved my article on 'Flamenco Dance' to A406676, and left a note to the Sub that will hopefully turn up sooner or later at the original article A399855. Do you think that will work? (Didn't want to recommend the new article, ending up last in the line again)
Key: Complain about this post
