Flamenco is a very expressive form of dance, song and music, involving very strong feelings.
Very often those feelings are from the dark side of life - not usually expressed in dance, since especially folk dances are mostly about weddings and feasts, expressing happiness rather than grief, pain, bitterness...
And not being able to find an article on h2g2 about Flamenco Dance, I decided to write one:

An excellent article. Well done! I don`t think this will have any difficulty getting into the edited guide.
A few (very minor) points:
`...Moors were taken out by the catholic kings...` The meaning here is a little ambiguous. Where they driven out or were they killed - or both ? "Taken out" is perhaps a little too colloquial.
`...Guitar players acquired great reputation and their playing arrived to masterity.` "reputation" should be plural ("reputations"). "Masterity" I assume is "mastery", and grammatically "arrived to mastery" is incorrect. "and they achieved mastery of..." or something along those lines would be better.
`...only more forcible.` should read "only with more force."
`...flurished...` is spelt "flourished"
`Applauds, however...` "Applause, however...". The second "applaud" is correct.
One other point. The editorial team do not currently allowing photographs in edited entries. It is a shame in this instance, as it is a beautiful photograph, but this will probably be cut out in the subbing process.
Otherwise, as said, an excellent article on a very interesting subject. I wish I had the aptitude to have a go at it myself!

Hi Titania,
I really enjoyed your article. More to the point, so did the Editors: it has been accepted for inclusion in the Edited Guide. The editing process takes a few weeks, but soon (you'll get an e-mail when) it will reach full flower as the Guide's own definitive entry.
Congratulations!

Thank you!
...but I just had a look at my article, and I'm not mentioned as the Researcher, but as the Editor?! How come?

You're the "editor" of this version because you had total control over what went into it.
When the "Edited" version goes live, you'll get a "researcher" credit on that. The SubEditor gets the "editor"credit, and the Editor (Mark, Anna, Sam or Ashley) who actually posts it up... will have to settle from the warm glow of satisfaction that comes from a job well done.
Key: Complain about this post
