h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This entry is my own work, and I believe that it should be accepted because: There isn't an edited entry on wedgies in the guide, it's mildly funny, yet informative on wedgies, and also I want to make it as good as possible, and putting it through the new subbing process will help. That, and I want more than one approved/edited entry! (please excuse my ego).

I like the article. It made me laugh, and made my eyes water when reading about the vicious wedgie. Definately a candidate for the edited in my eyes - though maybe a little too informative...

I have encountered 'wedgies' a number of times in Dilbert cartoons. Being unsure what they were, I had to look up the word in a dictionary (Merriam-Webster online, in case you're interested). The article has helped a lot.

Baldrick mentions their use in English primary schools. This must be a recent thing as they were never given when I was at school, hence my ignorance of what they are.

It's not just in English primary schools - it's everywhere! Bullies like to administer these to their victims, because they're a) embarrasing b) painful c) easy if the victim is 30-40 pounds lighter than you. Bullies especially like c).

I am fortunate to be female, and have only seen them given to others.
