the happy ending?

AEndr, The Mad Hatter

but what of when it is the right end, for both of you?
my (now ex) and I split a couple of months ago
we both knew it was coming
both didn't want it to come
but we drifted from lovers to friends
and now are fast firm friends - really good friends - who just happened to have gone out together for 2 years
the worst bit was the actual breaking up, making the decision, taking those scary steps where we didn't know if we would be able to keep each oher's friendship smiley - sadface
but we have smiley - smiley

Have either of you started to get serious about anyone new yet? That's when the bumpy ride begins but if you can get through that then there's no reason why you can't continue to be the best of friends. That's my experience of it anyway, but most people seem to get stuck with feelings of jealousy and isolation when the 'friend' falls in love again.
