OK so the best bit was when I used my status as editor of an Irish ex-pats newsletter (i.e a Word document with a circulation of about 100) to get an interview backstage with Ash, the Northern Ireland indie gods, when they played in Luxembourg last year.

Our Norn Irn accents went down very well, as did the fact that we knew the results of the Ireland-France footie match that night (one of my friends was at the match in Paris and was able to give me the final score). So I got chatting to Tim Wheeler.smiley - biggrin

Charlotte Hatherly admired the fake tattoo on my daughter's arm (the Ash logo) and I called Reddyfreddy over to show off his fake Uffington Horse* to her. Yes, Charlotte stroked RF's arm smiley - droolsmiley - cool

Meanwhile, my favourite ex-husband is a musician, and so through him we've met Britt Ekland (smiley - divaabsolutely lovely), the Krankies (very affable peoplesmiley - rofl), Dirty Den (very funnysmiley - cool), Paddy Kielty (a riot!smiley - clown)

We also have started a Harry Potter autograph collection - currently stands at Daniel Radcliffe (from aforementioned ex who sat beside DR at the Richard Haris memorial dinner, and discovered that he's a keen drummist) and Alan Rickman (who I had the nerve to ask at a premiere of Mary Poppins in the West End)

Daughter is hoping to win a HP6 comp where she gets to meet the famous author.

* On the cover of an XTC album - both Charlotte and RF are famous XTC fans.
