dont know if you are still following the thread, but ive hit a snag re the guide im doing.

as the clippings are from the local paper, i have to apply and ask for permission to add to the guide via the flickr,

the man i want, is on hols till next week, so cant continue for now, and pointless finding the wrestling one, and paying 40p for a special printoff, to get scanned, jim

im trying to find out the acts for the wm,club, to see who was on that few weeks.

and when i can work out the ones for the alambra, from again the papers, i might remember who i gave tea to, a drink, handed a cane or something to, as the assisant back stage hand.

could be from 1961 to 63 or even 64. i would have been between 15 and 17 year old, i was 19 when i joined the army in 1966.

i worked at pot collecting at two workingmens clubs,the one in fleet st, i lived across the rd, and worked daytime the other side of it lol. and another on the main rd in leicester.

the main rd first, till they started to take half in tax, then the fleet st,one till they did the same,lol. and i cant remember the name of either, only name i have is l.a.o.b. club i went to for a night out when not working.

i found the last peice, the night i met shirley bassey, i have met the beatles also in bradford, ut cant say where and how it came about in print.a private situation that even the press where fooled. shhhh

so that another project done, more by luck than design, there are hundreds of names, i cant remember on the alambra side, the ice rink some missing peices, all the ones at the club, i tryed to find out about, but no luck, was barron knights, smokey,at the club auditions, i,ll never know.

beleive or not, there are more i can add, but cant fit the years, i worked at holiday places, and met some that did shows.

ive done part time in workinmens clubs, and met a few there. but would be to hard to research.
