h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I worked at the 2002 commonwealth games (you can see my edited guide entry about it on my personal space) and I was lucky enough to meet a lot of the athletes - Matt Elias even came over to me and said Hello! I nearly walked into Linford when I wasn't looking where I was going, Colin Jackson was warming up just in front of me, and Jonathon Edwards came through with his gold medal, but we were all to shy to ask him to show it to us! They were all really nice, apart from one canadian athlete (dunno who he was) who got really annoyed with the queue for the security checks and barged past me to get into another queue.

I also know someone who confiscated cans of coke from S Club 7 at the same event...
