A Conversation for Talking Point: Have You Ever Met Anyone Famous?

Carol Smillie and Des Lynam

Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

On different aircraft, same route.

I actually sat next to Des. I didn't bother speaking to him. I have zero interest in football and wouldn't have known what to say.

I've often seen Carol Smillie. She's a lot smaller than she looks on TV, and was always disturbingly bubbly for a 7am flight. She used to wear her Changing Room sweatshirt - presumably in case anyone didn't recognise her.

Oh...and I once saw James Coburn at the gates to Downing Street. And Denholm Eliott in a gay pub in Camden.

Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

Oh...and Antonio Carluccio once stood on my toe as he was directing some guys carrying a huge Gaggia machine outside his shop on Neal St...

...and I once stood on Seb Coe's foot in the Pack Horse pub in Loughborough.

Does the keyboard player from Lloyd Cole and the Commotions count?
