Therefore, for the first time since I've been organising the vote, there's a tie! The 2 dates are 1st and 8th November. Here is an analysis of the votes:
1st November - Bagpuss, Mina, McKay, Serephina (also casting proxy votes for Ged and Genie)
8th November - MMF, Galaxy Babe, 2legs, Evadne Cake (also casting proxy vote for Socket/Roymondo) and Bald Bloke.
So, any ideas on how to settle this? Heads or tails? Tug of war?
Or, since the 8th is the preferred date of both MMF, who organises the afternoon and 2legs, who organises the evening, should their votes carry more weight?

I must have forgotten to post my reply to you yesterday.
I said that |I thought it was better to go to lots of meets and forget them, or to do what I have done, go to one meet only and remember it.
Then I asked the questioon - which was best.?
I am now going to post this rapidly before I forget what I am doing.! ! Howver I think that I really should withdraw my request to attend as |I do not think it is a feasible plan for me to do so. Do go and enjoy it on my behalf. but please write about it afterwards and then you can remember it later and also share it with me. !!

I'm up for a walking tour of the East End...my only suggestion would be that Jack the Ripper is a bit hackneyed, maybe some other theme? Possibly tied in with a a treasure hunt?

i did a ripper tour a few years back and if the weather is cold and windy i'd prefer something else. but don't let that stop you. the weather might be fine and i don't mind going for a walk. there'll be plenty of time for sitting down later, i guess
maybe we could make an international jack the ripper halloween pub crawl?
