Line dancing is a hobby of mine and, as there isn't a guide entry on it, I decided to write one. The entry is now about as complete as I can make it, so I'm submitting it for review.
I was hoping to add a nice picture of appropriately dressed people, but there isn't one in the library. Other than that, and the probable need for some formatting improvements, I think it's OK. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi cheerful Dragon!
Very quick comments as .
The entry should be written in the third person, not the first. this should be fairly easy to fix.
You should separate the headings from the text for ease of reading. If you're using GuideML, make sure you've got at the beginning and at the end of paragraphs.
I'll probably read it again over the weekend and give more comments as required.

I've changed all the first person bits to third person. Most paragraphs are surrounded by and , so the only way to get extra 'white space' between the final paragraph of a section and the heading for the next section was to add . However, I would prefer it if there wasn't white space between a heading and the paragraph afterwards. As there is no way to change this, I'm stuck with things the way they are.
Thanks for your quick comments (the only ones so far! Sob! ). Let me know if anything else strikes you (Ow!! )

Not had chance to look at it again, but I will in the near future. (Out all day, sorry!)
Me, I think entries look a lot better with a line of space underneath headings. It's easier to read and much tidier.

Sorry, this is very short. I just don't have much to say about it. However, I think that this general statement about Line Dancing ought to be made:
Line dancing is very easy to do passibly, but mastering it is a lifelong goal.

You've certainly been working on this Entry for a long time, CD, but I think it was well worth the effort. I never would have imagined that there could be so much to learn about line dancing! Thanks for the education!
I also think that the Entry would look better if you put spaces after all the headers, and there are a couple of places where you haven't quite stuck to Edited Guide writing style. The Writing Guidelines say that decades should be written as 'the 1970s', 'the 1980s' etc, and that numbers up to and including ten should be written in words unless they're part of dates. Those sort of things can easily be fixed by the sub-editors, but you might like to save them a job!
One thing I would suggest is a link to a site that includes diagrams of some of the dance steps. As you've mentioned yourself, there are plenty of sites like that to choose from! But this is a great piece of work, surely headed for the Edited Guide. Well done!

I'll do the date and number thing, but I can't do a link to a site with diagrams of dance steps, 'cos I don't know of one. The 'Linedancer Magazine' website has a glossary of steps, but no diagrams. None of the other line dancing sites that I have visited have had diagrams either. I've just done a search (using Google) and come up with nothing. If anybody out there *does* know of such a site, I'd be happy to include a link.

* steps forward, turns to the audium *
Just a minor thing: the mish-mash of and tags makes it look somewhat weird - please make sure *all* your paras get their own and .
With links or without links, I agree with Ormondroyd: 'this is a great piece of work, surely headed for the Edited Guide.'

The only time I've seen a diagram of a dance step is for Applejacks. But with almost all steps or step combinations diagrams aren't needed, the directions on the dance sheets are quite sufficient.
Liked your entry, very comprehensive. Hope it dispels some of the false assumptions about line dancing.
