Sorry read the rules and thought I ought to repost
I'm a newish member of your site and really have fallen for it in a big way. I read your little recruitment post on the front page and I think I would love a crack at sub-editing. I think I should be able to put in the time, my only concern is a lack of experience and if it's not working out i'll be the first to admit it and wonder off and take a look at one of the other volunteer posts on the site. Look forward to hearing from you

Hi Stuuubacca,
I'll be honest, I'd take enthusiasm over experience any day, so it's a pleasure to see you volunteering.
What we like to do first is set a little subbing test, so I'll be sending the this afternoon. Don't be put off, it's just to see at what stage all of our volunteers are with the h2g2 Writing Guidelines, so we can see if you need any pointers before we let you loose on a real entry. It's also a good indication of whether it's soemthing you're still keen to do, so there's nothing to worry about really.
Keep your eyes on your in-box - and thanks again for stepping forward!
Jimster
(on behalf of the h2g2 Team)
