h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This was the day I came across "the guide". I mean, this guide. The Earth version.

This day I became a researcher. For THE GUIDE. I've barely scraped itsthe potential, but already know about sub-editors and want to become one.

Throughout the years that have gone by since I first read the work of Douglas Adams I've wondered about (and hoped for) a way to give back a bit of what he offered. I have especially intended to do something related to "his world".

The news of his death crushed me. I knew I would never have a chance to have a cup of tea with him, or even word. Not that it would necessarily happen, but one can dream.

However, today, a hugely blessed opportunity has presented itself to me. And I am very definately going to take it. I'm going to help build his vision. I'm going to contribute.

It is absolutely the best possible way, one I would never have dreamed of, to give back to DNA.


P.S.:I've written this yesterday but was offline. I'll put it in anyway because it was truly a special moment for me, one which any Douglas fan would comprehend. In addition, I thought it would be as good an application as any.

You have already checked out PR - but come over to the AWW <./>RF5</.> where the flip-side of the Edited Guide hangs out. If the Edited Guide is factual, then the things in the AWW are everything else.
