I applied to be a subeditor about 15 months ago, and eventually gave up on getting a response to that. Can I try again now?

Thanks for volunteering for Subbing. Sorry you were passed over last time - I can't think why that might have happened...
We've currently got a short waiting list for Subs, but I'd be delighted to put you on it. I'll let you know when we have a vacancy, which will probably be in a couple of weeks. You won't get away this time!
