A Conversation for Volunteer to be a Sub-editor

I'd like to volunteer for sub-editing, please 
I've been on hootoo for a couple of years and get down to PR whenever I can, but I've been feeling for a while now that I could afford to do rather more by way of helping out.
I've only written one EG entry (pathetic, I know), but I don't recall anyone finding either typos or grammatical errors in it, either in PR or at the editing stage. Since the entries themselves aren't exactly pouring out of me, then, I think the attention to detail and matters of style and grammar (yes, anal-retentive, you're quite right) mean that sub-editing would be the best way for me to contribute.
I have a good command of English and an eye for detail; I can handle all but the more arcane aspects of Guide-ML; and I also have RL editing experience (details if pushed - you wouldn't enjoy reading it anyway).
