I'll also volunteer as a Guru for h2g2. I'll tell you a area once I figure out which one I'm better at.
Thanks

Count me in as a prospective Guru - you're going to need an Indian sooner or later, especially since Guru is an Indian word! I'll just tell you what I'm best at once I find out what the options are...

I'm not going to ask people to select their own specialist area. You know what you're best at. If you look in the feedback forum you'll see that there are now a number of areas, you might choose to answer questions in one area, or in a couple, depending on your personal interest and knowledge.
Thanks for volunteering everyone, I'll get a group together and then put in some briefing notes.

MMMMM...... Sub-editor or maybe Geru.. both are promising.
I would like to volunteer for Sub-editor first and Geru second.
Since I have arrived here I have just fallen for the whole site. It is fresh and moving. Something so diffrent than AOL or MS....
I am a software test engineer at imandi.com and have worked with Data Dimensions Int., who has a London office and an outpost in Ireland. Plus I have my own ISP http://www.silvercrow.com . My expertice and your dream could become a team.

Lanc if you wish to be a subeditor please get in touch with Anna at http://www.h2g2.com/u25 - she is actually on annual leave at the moment and will not be back until next Thursday so don't expect an answer immediately.
I'll do it on one condition...

That you sign me up.
Actually, this is another good idea from the Towers. I'm always surprised to see you full-timers answering the same silly questions over and over again. Why not get a bunch of volunteers to give you guys some time to do some writing!
I'll stick to answering editorial questions (it's what I know best), but if there's some no-brainer that I feel comfortable with, I'll pitch in there too.
