I don't know, the <./>GuideML-Gadgets</.> page isn't very logical (
@ those in the know), it's not hard to misunderstand what's going on. Anyway, Gurus don't need to know everything, as long as they know where to look it up, or who to ask.

Tango is quite right, you don't need to know everything to be a Guru, just knowing where to find the answer (or someone who knows the answer) is enough. However, you do need to know what sort of things might be asked, so can you hang around h2g2 Support - U295 for a while and see if you can answer any questions?
I recruit Gurus on Thursdays, and I'll be able to see how you are getting on. If things go well I can recruit you straight away.
I'll be watching.
