I just tried posting a message to a newbie (Robert Owen U1505132) who'd already posted to his PS. He hadn't yet had an ACE visit at the time, but that shouldn't matter, should it?
I got a message saying I couldn't post because I wasn't signed in. The page that came up had an 'Unknown Visitor' top banner but still showed the 'Hello Pinniped' line as normal just below it. I was signed in. Everything else worked normally.
This doesn't seem right...

Sounds like a normal, irregularly scheduled blip. Some things like that happens occasionally to me too. The first time I saw it, it freaked me out...
(I'm not a guru anymore (at least I think I'm not... hmm.) so I'll ignore that)
