This must have gotten introduced with the latest update.
When I use my Safari browser (v. 2.0.4), I am unable to post to the conversations. When I click post, it just takes me back to the add thread screen without adding anything to the conversation.
Posting works normally on Firefox.

kea ~ Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded but very well read blue and white website Posted Jul 15, 2006
I've been posting ok since the last update. I did notice some odd bugs where I got told I needed to sign in even though I already was, but that's a regular, intermittent oddity.
Which conversations do you mean?
I'm on Safaro 2.0.3

Posting with Safari 2.0.4 - no problems.
kea, if you have updated to OSX 10.4.7, you should have Safari 2.0.4.

Ottox, I'm still on 10.4.6 - waiting 'til I get back to a broadband connection before I do my updates.

When my mother updated to 10.4.7 the OS was quite screwed up, i.e. it wouldn't boot properly - all that came up was a text screen saying "Welcome to Darwin/BSD!" and asking for a username and password. We took it to the Apple Store and they had to reinstall the OS. So I'd be cautious about updating...

RFJS__ - trying to write an unreadable book, finding proofreading tricky Posted Jul 16, 2006
That sounds like the problem I had in Firefox, which was solved when I removed the site's cookies. Are you getting the name of the thread at the top of the Post page changed to 'Click here to return to the conversation without saying anything'?

No, it just kept going back to the add thread screen- it was like I had pushed the refresh button. And if I had pushed the preview button instead, I've been pushing it for four days straight!
I really hope removing the cookies works.

We've fixed a bug which was probably the cause of this problem. Let me know if you're still having problems, though.
