What would be nice would be if I could subscribe to announcements without subscribing to feedback on same. Maybe if you designed announce4ments to start with a different letter than F
right now "Not announced upgrade to DNA2.8" and
"Ongoing technical Problems" both have more than 70 responses in threads below them.

well maybe a button to click if you wanted to see beyond post #1 rather than being subscribed to the whole thread.

The Conversations are set up in such a way that you can choose whether to go straight to the first message (by clicking the title as it appears in the conversations list on your Personal Space) or to the most recent posting (by clicking 'Latest Reply). In effect, you can already do what you're suggesting here, so it's unlikely we'd be developing anything more specific.

If you just want to see the first posts in Announcements and only go into the rest of a thread if you click on a link, then that facility does already exist, shagbark. You want this link (eg on your page): <./>MJ?journal=77636</.>

well , I'm off to my proving grounds to see how I want to handle this
almost forgot my towel

so from now on when something pops into my conversation thread that looks like an announcement I go up to my green links and click on announcements folks.
