I can't find that A number, Dozdim .
Do you mean a javascript gadget that emulates the tag?
I know the tag is popular, it provides movement on the page and there's a sense of achievement when you get it to work. Javascript could certainly be used for that but it could do much more. Movement *and* interaction perhaps. Watching pictures going side to side is ok as far as it goes but I can achieve that by moving my head. Wouldn't a gadget that could be a but also be a game, for example, be better?

Have to say that code looks suspiciously like Java which we're not allowed
I think you may have to make do with the Marquee tag that people have been commenting on. It doesn't work for all browsers but it's about the best we're going to get until there is some time available at 'the towers' for coding things like that.

P.S Has the question of having stuff coded by the community ever been raised? Obviously it would have to go through rigorous testing by the inhouse lot but for simple things that wouldn't take too long.... just a thought!

The original idea of <./>GuideML-GADGETS</.> was that they would be coded by the community of researchers (and then checked and possibly added by the staff).

What happened to the idea? Is it still in the pipeline or have they decided against it for some reason?
