Love these old Italian thinkers. Cannot recollect too much about your guy but read a book last year about Mateo Colombo who lived around the same time. He was famous for a very important "discovery". More later but busy right now.....Euro 2000

Hi, GB, I took a quick look at this Entry. I like it very much, although a personality like Bruno Giordano would have deserved an Entry as long as a book. I'm sure he would have been one of the h2g2 "most addicted" researchers, had he been living today.
Some additional facts that come to my mind, and that might be worth including:
He was burnt at the stake in Rome on 17 Feb 1600. This happened on a place that is known as "Campo dei Fiori" (i.e. "Field, place of flowers") today. A statue of Bruno Giordano is still visible there. Today this is one of the most crowded and best known places in Rome, wchich causes lots if discomfort for those who still live there. So you might say that Bruno Giordano is stil a thorn in the flesh of the Roman Establishment somehow.
Just by the way: Campo dei Fiori is the only major place in Rome without any church or noble palace (How very appropriate for "Bruno's place" ).
Hope this helps.
I'll try to find out something about the Editing process of this Entry. As far as I know the old Queue has been finished, and new Entries come only trhough Peer Review or h2g2 University. It would be a pity of this Entry got lost.
