That was neat

*NYC once again finds himself charred in a small crater on the opposite side of the forum*

*cough, cough* I really HATE that poetry beam... errrrgh....

[sea] hmm... note to self: do NOT shake forcefield.

*NYC peers over the edge of the crater*

umm... a little help?

*sea walks over and holds out a hand to NYC*

*NYC grabs sea's hand and pulls her down into the crater with him*

why didn't you stop them?!

*sea lands on her back on the bottom of the crater with a THUD*

[sea] oww... what was i supposed to do?! hmmph. see if i help YOU again...

*sea kicks NYC in the shin*

[NYC] ow!

*NYC rubs his shin, and stares at sea*

[sea] what? no retaliation?

[NYC] nahhh... I don't want to fight you. we have bigger fish to fry. Shake on it?

*NYC extends his hand. Sea reluctantly takes it. NYC grins, grips her hand tightly, and pulls her towards him while tripping her over. Sea lands once again with a THUD*

[NYC] hehehe...

[sea] why you LITTLE...

*Sea tackles NYC, and starts strangling him*

*sea strangles NYC, muttering various curses. NYC punches her in the face, sea lets go, rolling over onto her back and touching her cheek*

[sea] owwww...

*NYC climbs to his feet, then tries to kick sea in the stomach. having anticipated this move, sea grabs his leg and pulls on it, so he falls with a THUD*

*sea apparently has the upper hand. NYC pauses to assess the situation*

[NYC] c'mon, why don't we stop fighting?

[sea] ooh, no. I won't fall for THAT again.

*NYC mutters to himself a bit before rummaging through his coat. He retreaves his baseball bat*

[NYC] okay, try THIS on for size!

*NYC backflips up to his feet, and enters a fighting stance. Both NYC and sea snarl at each other*

*sea, crouching near the floor, watches NYC closely for an indication of his next move. his shoulders tense as he prepares to swing the bat, and sea ducks just in time. she springs up while he is still on the backswing, and punches him in the face. NYC and his bat ge flying backwards*

that should read "go flying back" sorry...

*NYC, a bit red in the face, scrambles back up to his feet, and tries again. he fakes a swing with the bat, and sea dodges to the left. NYC then whacks sea's leg before she has time to react. NYC grins*

[sea] OW!

*sea jumps on her right leg, holding her left. she scowls at NYC*

[sea] so you wanna play like THAT, huh? fine!

*sea pulls a golf club out of her pocket and brandishes it menacingly (in case you care, it's the nine iron)*

Good grief I'm gone for a few hours....

Poetry Woman now has a graze under her left cheek (that's on her FACE boys and girls ), and she's MAD!!! (OK, except for the bit where NYC says he hates her poetry beam. That makes her grin).

Without further ado, she jumps into the crater, evades bats and nine irons, grabs NYC and sea by the scruff of their necks, and bangs their heads together.

*CRACK*

Good grief I'm gone for a few hours....

Poetry Woman now has a graze under her left cheek (that's on her FACE boys and girls ), and she's MAD!!! (OK, except for the bit where NYC says he hates her poetry beam. That makes her grin).

Without further ado, she jumps into the crater, evades bats and nine irons, grabs NYC and sea by the scruff of their necks, and bangs their heads together.

*CRACK*

bear withme on this...when I say run, go like the wind

*loudly*
they make a 'lovely' couple, dontchathink?

ALL HEROS REPORT TO THE HIDEOUT. THAT's THE HIDEOUT. AT ONCE. YOU CAN. IT'S MARKED HIDEOUT.

And villains please dont go in, because we are discussing secret plans, and it'll make everything more fun, OK?

*NYC wakes up with a pounding headache, and tentatively touches his forehead. he finds blood on his fingers*

uuurrrgghhhh... what hit me...

*NYC looks over to sea, across from him*

oh.

*NYC searches through his coat for some aspirin, downs the entire bottle's worth, and goes back to sleep*

*sea moans*

[sea] allright, who did it?!

*sea tries to stand up, but fails miserably. she resigns herself to checking her gaping head wound for foreign particles so that it will heal. upon finding none, she looks over at NYC (slowly) and tries not to grin. she then re-reads backlog*

[sea] WHAT?!

*sea, forgetting her head wound, jumps to her feet*

[sea] where is he?! lemme at him!

*sea crouches down and springs like a cat, catching the lip of the crater and pulling herself out of it. she stands at the edge, panting, looking for heroes*
