Hypergraphia is also found in people with Asperger's, like me.

I didn't see Asperger's in the list of conditions linked with hypergraphia in the articles I've located (though they do say it's linked to *hyperlexia*), but the bit on the diagnosis of Asperger's that says, "Restricted repetitive and stereotyped patterns of behavior, interests, and activities" suggests that hypergraphia might be common in Asperger cases after all. Thanks, TR, I'll go see if I can locate a journal article linking the two! (Otherwise, I'll just add in the article that 'People with Asperger's Syndrome have reported experiencing hypergraphia, suggesting that the two may also be linked'
).

'kay.
But you might have more success with Aspie websites, like "Oops, wrong planet".

But not ALL people with Asberger's suffer from hypergraphia; my son doesn't, and neither does my best friend's son. My friend is schizophrenic; I'm just nuts.
Nice job on the article, though!

I'm not allowed to scout it because I've been overpicking badly and scouts are cross with me.
HOWEVER one quick thing I want to change. You mention manic depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in the same sentence...bipolar IS manic depression but with updated thoughts etc etc...so I reckon that changing all manic depressions to bipolar disorders would be a good idea.
And don't anyone argue with me on this point I'm a depressive on the edge!

Do people still use the phrase "manic depression"? I thought that it was replaced completely by "bipolar" ... but I am NOT an expert! LOL! I just have regular ol' depression.
Of course, we contributors don't think there's any such thing as OVER-picking!!

There is when other scouts feel they can't find good entries to pick and can point the finger at me for picking more than my fair share.
Manic depression has mainly been fazed out as a phrase in the medical profession now certainly. People still use it though because it's what they have always known. A lot of the reason why it's been replaced is the phrase 'manic depression' can be quite misleading.

People definitely use the phrase, but as to whether *we* should I'll have to take instruction from others. But in the meantime, I don't see why we can't get this one motoring through the next stage of the Editorial Process.
So...

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
