I am redpeckhamthegratepompomwithknobson, the 'biological' mother of sporkocattus. The pregnancy was short and strange. Initially I had great cravings for all things fishy and as his father is catlike I feared that he had few if any thingite genes. Suddenly one eveing I had a zenlike experience and knew the creature inside me also craved the spork....I somersaulted once or twice with relief for I knew he was also thingite.
For a while Evilclaw, the father wasn't very sure of his role and made me feel a little lonely. I had thought I would give the child to the Thingite Institute for Chilcare for its upbringing, as I'm not particularly maternal. Evilclaw suddenly turned into an absolute brick and said he'd look after it. I handed Sporkocattus Redclawius as he bacame known, over to Evil shortly after the birth. I visit him frequently and hope to initiate him into the arcane mysteries of the plastic spork. I am very grateful for the wonderful mothering he gets from Dragonqueen......and er.....the other godparenting from Supermoo.

When I read the entry again I noticed at the side it says its written and researched by me and edited by you....It's your work queen....I want you to credit yourself properly

Well, that´s the system... I put your number after mine in the author list and that´s the way it came out...

...well technically she is...but anywho...I think the reason the actualy writer is called the "editor" and not the writer is that for a entry to be put in the edited guide it has to be...well...edited...and so the entire page is essentially copied and pasted by one of the sub editors so that it then says "Edited Byname of the sub-editor)" and the part that says "Written And Researched Byoriginal writer's name)" gives proper credit to the writer as opposed to the subeditor...

I don´t get this, not that it´s a problem. More curious. I wrote this entry, put it into the review area so that Red and EC should be able to put their views directly into the entry. Then Red added something in a conversation post, which I added, and of coz I put her number to the author list.

that also it slightly misleading in this context...
it is really just saying that the people listed have helped you write the entry...it doesn't actually mean they can edit it...

my head is spinning........we'll just have to sort it out with the hootoo authorities when it's finished for final publication......It's quite exciting that little sporky's birth has now been made official, a bit like getting his birth certificate or his 'christening'......not that he's a christian,..well I don't think he is...
