A Conversation for Talking Point: Funniest Films
Bill and Ted and Napoleon

I don't normally go in for teen comedies. But when Ted suggests that Joan of Arc was Noah's wife under the scrutiny of his fed up teacher, I crack up. Or when the intrepid time travelers approach the astounded Socrates (pronounced So-krates) and try to PHILOSOPHIZE with him by reciting a line from Dust in the Wind, the collision of these worlds really tickles something fundamentally humorous.
Also when Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite puts his chin on his fist for a photo shoot, or when he stops dreaming about his glorious past long enough to show Kip how he can hit Napoleon with a steak from 100 feet away, I loose it.
I hope these kinds of films never stop coming.

I think the teen comedy genre is better than it's made out to be. Some of the characterisation in Ten Things I Hate About You was hilarious, and the white rastas still make me laugh every time I watch it.
