Russ, if you're out there can we sing one more drunken chorus of *Springtime For Hitler* and shock all the pub patrons?
"Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Deutschland is happy and gay!
We're marching to a faster pace,
Look out, here comes the master race!
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Rhineland's a fine land once more!
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Watch out, Europe
We're going on tour!
Springtime for Hitler and Germany,
Winter for Poland and France!
Bombs falling from the skies again
Deutschland is on the rise again
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
U-boats are sailing once more
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Means that...
Soon we'll be going...
We've got to be going...
You know we'll be going...
You bet we'll be going...
You know we'll be going to war!!"

the memories come flooding back!!
My Parents dragged me from my bed aged ten to watch this the first time.. I couldn't believe my eyes!! I love the way that people who have seen it just go all misty eyed when you either start singing that song, or say some of the dialogue, or make the "world" gesture with your hands!!
"the fuhrer, now there was a painter, one whole appartment, two coats.. ONE AFTERNOON!"

The very funniest scene in this film has to be the one where Gene Wilder first goes to Zero Mostel's office to inspect the books. He just wants his little blue blanket back and is terrified that Zero Mostel is going to jump on him!
Absolutely priceless and as funny now as it was the first time I saw it at the cinema when it was first released

No, surely the funniest moment has to be when the audience start laughing at "Springtime for Hitler" (after having first all dropped jaws in unison) only for the Nazi writer to jump up and scream at them (something like):
"No, You are only the audience. I am the writer. I OUTRANK you!"
