Hi Beowulf. I have to admit that I don't understand this game the way you have described it. For a start there are places where you seem to have put in the wrong word, making it hard to figure out what you intended to say. Secondly, the sentences are far too long. Try:

1. reading what you have written very carefully. Read it out loud slowly and listen to what you are saying.

2. splitting long sentences into shorter ones.

3. use a capital A and B, or better still to make it more real, play the game between Alice and Bob. Then you won't need the footnote about him and her.

How are things at the centre of the galaxy?

Let me see if I understand.

Both players start with one finger on each hand

They take it in turns to point one of their hands at one of their opponent's hands

If someone points a hand with 3 (say) fingers at one of your hands, you add that number of fingers to your hand

When you have 5 fingers on one hand, you make a fist

If one hand is a fist and the other has an even number of fingers, you can move half the fingers to the fist rather than pointing on your go

You can't point with a fist

If both your hands become fists, you lose

Is that right?

Well, you could, but then it won't really be your entry. How about you try to rewrite it a little clearer but in your own words?

I could add you to the researchers list if you want if not I can try to rewrite it but I have explained several times in real life and don't seem to be to good at ir.

I wonder whether you should rephrase that first sentence and have America before Truman elementary school.

Century has a capitalised C

Be aware of repeating words ...you shouldn't do that

I wonder whether there are other games with fingers that you could add to this making a bigger Entry.

You don't need to put a capital c on century except when you are giving the number of the century:

this is a good century
this is the 21st Century

That's a House Rule, by the way, rather than a general rule of English. Other publishing companies may use different rules.

Has anyone studied this game mathematically? Is there a winning strategy? (That is, is there a method you can use for always winning?)

As far as I know there has not been any mathmatical analis of fingers. I made some changes and added cy to the resaerchers list but that didn't seem to work quite right. I am now listed as an editor with him as the researcher.

And it'll all sort itself out once this is edited - then both names will be researchers and the editor will be the editor. It's just a quirk of the system.

You're missing a lot of full stops from the explanation, and you might want to change the wording a bit as I was writing in short bullet points and you're writing it as a paragraph.

I rearranged the rules section so it is now a list of rules which I think is better that the previous format. I did save the old guide ML just in case I'm wrong.

You can use tags to make a list, like so:

Also, does it have to be a two player game? Couldn't you play it with more people, and the last one to not have two fists wins?

I know it as a two player game but I guess more could work.
