home secretary = Home Secretary
first lord = First Lord
curly apostrophes throughout the Entry, please fix them as they play havoc with some browsers.
You jump from <>

Edward VIII<---(note correction) was king in 1936. That's a big gap which requires explanation, even in an overview.
<> are you sure that's "Pupy"?
<>
do you mean "then" he returned to government?
what do you mean by "developed the tank" - there's a difference between being involved with the development - which is what Churchill was - and saying he developed it. According to http://www.firstworldwar.com/weaponry/tanks.htm no one person was responsible for the development of the tank.
Churchill's sppech = speech
Winston Churchill Oganisation (outside link title tag) = Organisation
You have white spaces in your links, eg LINK H2G2 = "A22833227"> there shouldn't be any after the one after LINK:

<> the BBC site you link to gives her name as: Adela Forestier-Walker
You could start (or end) with that fabulous quote when a woman complained that he was drunk: "I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."

I don't think he was the first person to receive a state funeral in the 20th Century - I think he was the first commoner to receive a state funeral.

Interesting stuff.
However, not much coverage of the war years, and it might be worth mentioning his American Indian ancestry on his mother's side (she was half Cherokee or summat).

Re. his mother's origins this seems to refute the rumours, but I don't know how much trust can be put in this information either. I tend to think it is correct though.

I found a couple of other good links if you are interested.

First I'd like to you for reading my Entry.
Then query a few points. If I'm only giving an overview do I need to go into detail regards the wars? Also I've mentioned his mother was American; as it's questionable that she could have been of Indian origin I feel it not worth mentioning. Websailor but I don't look at w... as it's unreliable.

Opti, I've only glanced through it and I'll give it a proper read later (not tonight though ) - but I'd agree that you should have a bit more about his role in WWII at least. Let's face it, it's without a doubt the reason he's still so well known.

I think this sentence
"He also wrote one novel, several biographies and many histories and his passion for art shines through in Painting as a Pastime (1948)."
Should also have some mention of his winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.

Having titled this entry "WS - British Prime Minister", it should concentrate on that aspect of his life and work. There is scope for another entry about the man more generally. You mention the World Crisis and the Marlborough biography, but omit what is arguably his greatest historical document, A History of the English Speaking Peoples.
Focus on the PM aspect and perhaps, as I said, put the other aspects into another entry; there is a lot more to this great man than just a war-time Prime Minister - in 2002 he was elected "Greatest Briton" in a BBC TV viewers poll, yet in other poll earlier this year, 25% of people thought WS to be a fictional character

Oh heck I feel like I've opened a can of worms and am struggling to put them back in some order. I am currently wondering whether to change the title seeing as I know little about politics.

*hastily erects defensive wall around worms to prevent them escaping too far*
>>I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.<<
This quote has for years been aquiring the status of an Urban Myth. The exact words vary from quotation to quotation, and even the addressee changes: was it Socialite Lady Astor or was it Socialist MP Bessie Braddock? Sometimes neither, just an unknown "Woman in the Street".
In case of neither of the named women though would Winston have for a moment thought of calling her Miss (even when drunk) - almost certainly Madam.
This entry is well worth doing Opti, but you need to decide which aspect to go with, otherwise you are in danger of slipping between the cracks. Don't give up though, just pick a horse and ride it to the FP.
