A question:
Can I quote a paragraph from an Edited Entry, and credit and link that Entry? Not suitable to just link to it, only a small part is relivent to this Entry.

I can't see why not. By crediting it and linking to it you are doing all the right things.

I guess the easiest way to find out would have been to go ahead and insert it, and if anyone said "oi! Em! You can't do that! I'd know
Anyway, it's added under 'Fairy Rings' If it's not ok like that, I'll find another way.

Hey Emmily, neat entry! Just a suggestion: You *might* want to note that the 'spiritualist Conan Doyle' who believed in the Cottingley fairies was THE Sir Arthur 'Sherlock Holmes' Conan Doyle - who, in stark contrast to his cynical, rational detective, was perhaps the world's most famous advocate of spiritualism.
(I noticed his name appeared twice in the article - once as Conan Doyle and the other as Arthur Conan Doyle - but you might want to make it clear they were both referring to the same person). He died a believer, you know.

A couple of good points there Farlander. They're sorted.
The paragraph about fairy rings I emailed to my mum last year. There were a lot of fairy rings where I grew up, and we didn't know what caused them. it was great to find the answer.
I'd almost given up finding it for this Entry, I spent ages searching, I finally came across it while searching for something else, and glad that I did.

Sorry, had a lot of posts on my space, missed seeing this.
No, not yet. I'm stuck on finding info on The Blue Fairy (Pinocchio). Can't find much on net, local library has not got Pinocchio book, next nearest library is closed for renovation, don't wanna buy Pinocchio book just to find out about Blue Fairy.
Some help please about Blue Fairy. She changed Pinocchio from a wooden puppet to a real life boy, but what else did she do? Was it the Blue Fairy that caused Pinocchio's nose to grow when he lied? Would it be accurate to say she was his educator/teacher/moral adviser?

OOOOppppsss I just found something on 'Fern Gully, The Last Rainforest' (amazing what you find if you add an extra word ) don't think that fits with the title of Entry.

A fine entry, Emmily. I'm sure the Community Artists will have a lot of fun illustrating it!
Just a couple of nitpicks: in the 'What a fairy looks like' section, 'Fairy's are usually, scantily dressed...' should read 'Fairies are usually scantily dressed...'. In the first paragraph of the 'Cottingley fairies' section, I think you need to put a full stop after the first use of 'photographs', and to start a new sentence with 'One of them...'.
This probably isn't suitable for the entry, but have you seen the cartoon strip 'Pibgorn'? It's one of my favourite strips, and it's all about the adventures of a woodland fairy. But Pibgorn isn't really a 'childhood' fairy - she's having an affair with a church organist, and her best friend is a succubus! For more details, see http://www.comics.com/comics/pibgorn/html/cast_Pibgorn.html .

I don't think you've sorted 'Fairy’s are usually scantily clothed...', Emmily. The errant comma has gone, but the first word should be 'Fairies'.

I've finally added a bit about The Blue fairy, if anyone wants to take a look see if it's ok.

The second sentence about the Blue Fairy reads a bit oddly because it changes tense halfway through.
I'd change it to: "The Blue Fairy *is* so impressed with Pinocchio’s effort to be a ‘good boy’ *that* she grants him his greatest desire, to be a real boy."
