Lodger

In the context of rock/pop artists and their careers Lodger is one of the most beguiling albums in rock history. I'm no engineer but it is clearly very badly produced with the first song rather thean opening the album with confidence sounding very tired but it does contain some of his greatest cutting edge work.
Having the invlovement of Brian Eno on Heroes, Low and Lodger means they get lumped in as a trilogy but while the first two are very much a pair Lodger is nothing like those. While the first two make direct or oblique reference to subject matter and his state of mind Lodger has some strange social comment songs, songs about the cult of the DJ (D.J.) and songs about travel.
The 3 videos for the singles off Lodger are great though. Plus whats with the cover? Very odd.
