perhaps she thought you'd protect them while she was trying to avoid the neighbor's dalmation..

did you read The Poultry Olympics? It's a recounting of Saturday's main event of chicken vs. dalmation..

It continues... apparently Sara (the spotted ne'er do well) has decided a blood vendetta against my poor, innocent boky boky. Well.. not exactly innocent but she's darn cute!

But then henny penny is only doing what she is liable to do at the best of times.. stand there going

pretty much, yeah...
I think being on her own as it were she does not sleep much at night.. which splains why she'll sleep sprawled out on the doormat at the back door like a dog..

she's so funny... when we're about in the yard or in the kitchen with the back door open she's right there.. as we chat about things she'll chime in with a very serious "bok bok bok" or look at us and ask "bok bok??"

it's really quite funny to see us sitting on the deck, laying on one side and the killer attack chicken on the other..

She really has made herself at home. What will you do during the winter months?
Tea Room (marching for Jack)
Batty_ACE Posted Oct 3, 2005
We're hoping she'll winter under the deck.. if not I'm considering making a chicken coop out of a small doghouse with warm stuff in it, stuffed inside a large dog crate.
The problem is she doesn't want to be "caged" otherwise we'd lock her in at night to protect her from predators...
Any thoughts on proper chicken training techniques?

Sorry, me no chicken speak
I can only suggest you watch her and see where she prefers to roost in a sheltered spot.
