Classic Goo is the best. Where else can you have such a cool blue background, so that smiley - fish look like they're swimming? Where else can you not stare at ghastly white-like colours? Classic Goo is the best - H2G2 without a Blue background is like red milk or a purple orange.

h2g2. Where else can you both post at the same time and be in agreement?

Alabastard is like sooooo many other web sites. Classic Goo has that slightly skewed look that is more in keeping with the spirit of DNA's writing.

Goo forever!!!!

This is definitely much better. I like the way the goo dimples when you click on the links in it, just as if it was real gooey stuff. Glad to see the fan club picking up a bit. Should I put something else on the main page, or just leave it to the forum?

Redbeard (Thanks to all who supported The Celery!))

I have a few 'better with goo' graphics at http://www.h2g2.com/A357437 that you can use if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer, I checked out your page a while ago. I did try to put one on my main page just now, but the picture didn't work in the preview. I'm not sure if it was me or a technical problem, I'm still a little unsure how this all works.
Actually I just read your page properly, and it was me. I'm too tired now, need to go to sleep, but I'll sort it out tomorrow, thanks again.

Hey which forum do we use here? I want to join! GOO is GOOEY and alabaster can never beat it...

I think the current minimalist look allows us to fully appreciate the shear blueness of the page, juxtaposed perfectly against the dripping gooness of the side bar.
Try saying that about some modernistic Alabaster thing. smiley - tongueout

I must say that I would join in a fight to keep the guide goo-ey. As much as I do not like it, it is much easier on the eyes than alabast^Hard^H.

What don't you like about Goo, Marv?

Oh just after a year of Goo, I could use a change, but I do not like the alternative.

Hopefully they'll design a couple more skins in a month or six, but I'm used to Goo, and it looks good. I'm not really one who likes change when it's not needed anyway. Goo is, as they describe it to be, classic. smiley - smiley

Well some of the images I saw a while back for other skins on the same style as goo I thought were a good step in the right direction.

Do you know where abouts they are, or if they are still being developed?

Nope, the page that had them went away.

Better late than never I guess. I was thinking about starting a "Classic Goo preservation society" but since there is a fan club, I guess I don't need to bother. smiley - smiley The page could use some content IMHO though.

Finally made it! Yay.
Mina, I agree, get Redbeards banners on the page, maybe a little history (for any newbie who stumbles across us and can weep at the prospect of never getting Goo) and the '?skin=classic' tag to see a page in 'Classic Goo' mode (append to the end of the URL). smiley - smiley

I admit I have been very slack about the banners, I will get to it asap. And as for content, I did ask for suggestions, and as for history, someone had better tell me it so I can post it here. Either add it here in the forum or mail me [email protected]
