I´ve got a slight idea about a film of this French director titled into Spanish like: Everything starts here, It´s about a kindergarden or a primary school... have you watched it?
I´m not teaching teenagers this course but primary children.

Thanks Ed.
I think it´s going to be worthwhile watching it( as soon as I find it)
I´ve smiled at the comment of an person about the film: the teacher does things "outside the scopes of his responsabilities"
OF COURSE!! any worker who deals with humans( education, health, law...) tends to do so. Or should do...
I was about to cry yesterday on hearing my mates talking about the parents and the kids during our weekly meeting. Most of them are rich or very rich ( is not a state school) but children lack care, serious and responsible parents. I´m afraid that they see kids like having a pet, cute when babies but as they grow...

I'm a member of something called a Children's Panel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children's_Hearings. I get to see mainly kids who have problems passed on to them by their parents. But, yeah, I know that bad parenting can exist at all levels of society.
See this famous poem:

I find excellent that of Children Hearing!! It´s so wise, and surely effective. Here, a judge is famous because of his sentences: a fourteen years boy was "punished" to learn to write and some rudiments of literacy. His crime: he had stolen a motorbike. The boy comes from a very poor area. He is gipsy, and they are quite aside of society.
About the poem: really tough. But fortunately there´re abused people who can overcome all that darkness and suffering and be good parents or at least good people.
I wish there would be Children Hearing everywhere; it´s revenge on children what we can see oftener.
Key: Complain about this post
