This looks promising, but the DVD premise isn't going to work for me. I see one or two movies a week in the theaters. By the time they go to DVD, I've long since forgotten a lot, and my interest levels are no longer what they were. Plus, I don't want to [i.e. I'm too lazy to] search high and low for the foreign-language films that might interest anybody else. There's an art film theater a couple miles down the road from me. That's where I saw "Girl with the dragon tattoo," in sedish with English subtitles. Later, I saw the Hollywood version with Daniel Craig and Mara Rooney.
Would anyone who has sene versions like to discuss them? I was floored by the intense violence in the Swedish version. The reviews of the American version claimed that the violence was scaled back, but it didn't serm like it to me.
