OK, back to the original point of this thread; pointing out pointless facts.
In the DS9 episode 'Body Parts' (directed by Avery Brooks) in the final scene quarks bar is empty and the camera pans across the room. If you look at the lower-right of the screen you can see the shadow of the camera moving. I'm particularly proud of this as I'm seemingly the only one to have noticed it. (Strangely I only got 18% in the geek test. )

Weird. You would think they'd check that sort of thing. I've sen things where you can se the shadow of the helicopter the camera's in or the reflection of the sun off the lens hitting the wall.
In the TOS episode "Charlie X" we see Kirk getting into the turbolift wearing his usual shirt, but when he gets out of the tuirbolift, he's wearing that wrap-a-round shirt he sometimes wore.

Apparently in the TNG episode 'Unification' you can see the reflection of the director talking in a obelisk on Selas desk, although I never saw that myself.

In "Encounter at Farpoint", Riker asks where the Holodeck Data is in is. THe Computer says "Second door on the right", and it then proceeds to lead him to a door on the other side of the hall. Is that normal on a new ship?

If you're interested in Nitpicks, you surely need the Nitpickers Guide for Next Generation Trekkers, by Phil Farrand, and Volume II (in which I'm named as a contributor! ...along with about 800 other people
).
Or go to http://www.nitcentral.com/
One of my favourites was an odd linguistic one that hardly any Americans would be likely to spot. In ONE episode, ever, (can't remember which one...), Picard enters a turbolift with Worf and addresses him as lieutenant - pronounced, for one time only, English style: "lefftenant".

Hang on, surely it would be more accurate to say that hardly any *British* people would notice it?
To a British person 'left-tennant' will sound correct, so it won't stand out.
To an American, the word will be unfamilar/'incorrect', so an American would be more likely to notice.

Ah, but British people had been waiting for years, quietly listening to see if someone would finaly say "left-tennant".
Did it actually say that in the script or was that a mistake by Patrick Stewart?

Well I thought that generally they said it the Americajn way, so everyone would have noticed Picard saying "leff-tennant"?
Maybe I'm wrong.

Trying to get LW to make sense is like trying to walk on the ceiling. It's possible, but you need special equipment.
