I've just got xbox, can't see handhelds

I have a Game Cube, an N64, a PSX, a megadrive and a NES. I have no need for an Xbox, I have a PC

son's got PS2, I'm not a big gamer, just something to twiddle with when nothing on tv

I've never understood the point of the XBox, I mean it's just a windows PC, but without the 'windows' interface. PS2s are nice though

I'm only into platform type, no sports/driving/rpg's etc, can't overtax me 3 brain cells

ah well, the Game Cube is the king of platform consoles. And of course they are now dirt cheap, in fact in some places they're cheaper than a GBA SP

consols is big buiness and now hard drive technology is growing fast, todays new is old tomorrow

apparently my DS can theoretically connect to the internet using a wireless router. but it'd need special software to do it. Also, a company thought it'd be a good idea to do some chat software for the DS, so that people can sent text and picture (doodle) messages to other people near by... The fact that the DS has software built in which lets you do this obviously never occured to anyone

can't remember who has done it, but there is now a world record for the smallest hard drive, 1" dia

Get used to it while you can. In 20 years time the silicon chip is going to hit a technology wall, which means that prcessing power wont be able to go any further or get any smaller. If we don't find a solution to the problem soon then we could be stuck at that technological level for quite some time.

some companies are working at the molecule level, which if that evolves, the microchip will be redundant
