Brilliant. I was told it was a biology geek joke. Nevertheless, I think it's brilliant.

Mr. Christopher, enjoying the Magicians Guild game where he is called Polonius Franc, Elder Healer and local merchant Posted Jan 13, 2005
Thank you very much. When I was in my microbio class, I was the only one who could find the flagella on the ameoboids.

I haven't taken microbiology yet since it won't count as credits for the uni I'm transfering to next semester. I'm still puttering along in Biology II, but I do enjoy it. I'm pretty good at microscopy, so I certainly look forward to trying to find flagella on amoeboids.

Am I missing the joke because I am thinking it should be flagellum, since there's only one on these critters?

The joke is a parody of the muchly-overused witticism, "Talk to the hand because the face ain't listening."
