I was thinking more of Renfield. Bela couldnt over act in it, he could barely speak english. Furthermore, the fact that they cut jonathon out completely and made Arthur the girls father was just weird.

I thought they made Dr. Seward the father.... Wasnt Arthur's last name Holmwood or something? Either way... I agree it was really weird... But I'd seen the movie several times before I read the book so it didnt seem weird then and now I'm just used to it.
Reinfield may have over acted.... But he always makes me laugh. I think it was a great movie anyway...But I think I'm inclined to say that about any movie that Bela Lugosi is in... And goodness knows some of those are quite terrible. Poor Bela.

Oh maybe, I don't know. I was just hoping nobody would spot my bluff since it was ages since I saw it last. But alot of 1930s movies were pants so Dracula was the best of a bad bunch yn fy marn ni.

Well you see.... It was an accident... I'm not really much of a morning person and I'd just got out of bed and on my way out the door (shutting it behind me) I forgot to let go of the door handle quick enough....

Sounds painful. I can't imagine how it would work in my mind but it must have happened somehow.

Very painful.
Imagine you're standing in a room you twist the door handle and pull the door towards you. You dont let go of the door handle that is on the inside of the room but you step through the doorway and pull the door shut. Now your hand is on the inside door handle but you are outside of the room and your wrist curves around the edge of the door. When you pull the door shut your wrist gets caught inbetween the door and the doorway. Thats how it happened.... I was sleepy and forgot to let go of the door handle. Very stupid of me. I think it was because I usually pull it shut that way so that it swings shut behind me. It works beautifully too...If you remember to let go!
