I've just shelled out €250 to take and the Gruesomes to the original version of Mama Mia in Oberhausen on 24th September
Thanks for the heads up though (I just emailed you about it.)

It's still up in the air actually. If Malabrista and Tavaron can't make it, I've already suggested a threesome to B'Elana. Date to be agreed between us 3. I think that might be nice just us 3 gals. The middle point between our places of abode is again around Coblence, but the whole area Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler/Mayen/Neuwied has lots of interesting and quaint places to get together in, so we could try somewhere new. Provided it's as easily accessible as Coblence was.
Or we could just meet in Frankfurt where B'Elana would be on home ground and could show us some nice places.

Well, as you know I'm generally saddled with Gruesomes, so make the plans, and I'll see if I can make it.
The gruesomes are absolutely against Koblenz - I mentioned it the other day in connection with my parents and they both shouted "No! you'll end up in hospital" Bless 'em!

Would Frankfurt be too far for you? B'El says it is, but the connections might be good.

You may or may not have seen that I have abandoned the idea of 24th - which would have been next Saturday. However, B'El, you and I really can make our own arrangements, and she and I can most likely fit our dates round you. So - you start! Anything between now and next Easter, for a kick-off.

Right, Frankfurt is a way away - I'd be looking at trains at this time of year I think. The Gruesomes are my biggest "problem" since I don't like to abandon them at weekends (I don't spend too much time with them during the week) and almost never gets weekends off
And I can't see him taking a weekend to watch the Gruesomes again, look what happened last time
Is there anything round there I can do that the Gruesomes would like (they're 7 and 8) or .... I'll google around and see what comes up

that didn't come out how I intended.
Frankfurt is a fair way, but doable. If I combine an overnight. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a cheap-ish Pension or something for me and the Gruesomes.

Frankfurt is reknowned for its very large zoo. Children can also be persuaded to enjoy the Senkenberg museum and the natural history museum. Far more exotic is the airport. B'Elana may have some more interesting things that aren't so well known - and her two boys might make everything more intersting. 'Fraid my kids are too old to join me in things like this, the youngest is just too "cool" to go anywhere with his mum.
Although having said that, he and I are going to the UK for the first week of November.
