Hi Sho
Great to see you over here Thanks so much for reading some Entries in Peer Review - much appreciated
I hope you're doing as well as possible in the heat - I saw your 'petty hate' about the hot flushes... It is quite warm enough here today and it is *only* 32 degrees, so I have been thinking of you...
Sending cool vibes

aw you're welcome, that convo reminded me that I keep meaning to come over and at least comment on the entries in Peer Review, and check the front page. (must get round to that now)
I'm basically melting. And whining a lot. But I reserve the right to do that because I never complain about cold, rain, snow, sleet, freezing fog or whatever. Only sunshine
How are you managing?

Yes, when it is nearly 42 degrees you have the right to whine while you're melting...
I'm managing OK, thanks - so far I'm doing better than last year where it was consistently 27 degrees in the office and my feet swelled up so even my sandals didn't fit. 32 degrees is hot, but the temperature fluctuations with the thunderstorms that have been happening give a bit of respite. I am still remembering to keep hydrated and keep my feet moving, so that helps, and I'm taking advantage of the cooler evening air just now. My boss kindly bought icecream for the team today, so that also did me good
I hope you're still getting on well with your new job, too

My new job is going swimmingly thang you! coincidentally my boss bought us (well, there were only 3 of us today as one of us has vacation) ice-cream. And lunch.
Funny, this year my feet have started swelling up - first time it's happened. Not much fun.

Excellent! It is most refreshing to have a job that goes swimmingly, so I am glad yours is too
Sorry your feet have been swelling up, too - I spoke a bit too soon yesterday, as my feet weren't so good last night as it was a surprisingly warm evening... Today has been cooler so they're feeling better, but I shall put my feet up now and have another cold drink I hope the weather was cooler for you today as well.

Good to see your weather today was much cooler, too - we had some refreshing rain and my feet are much happier
By the way, I don’t know if you saw the Carry On Sexism Entry A87903859 in Peer Review, but if you felt able to comment on it, your thoughts would be hugely valuable! I read it a while ago and thought of you, as it struck me as a topic you might already have thought about.

I'll mosey on over and have a look - I wanted to stop by PR today anyway.
It's cooler today - only 27° so I'm happy about that. Hope it stays like this!

Thank you so much!
Glad you're appreciating Bluebottle's 'Carry On' treatment so far It was epic for me to sub-edit as well as for Bluebottle to write, but appreciative readers make it worthwhile
Glad you're still enjoying cooler weather - let's hope it stays like this indeed! I heard that we might have more thunderstorms in North West England tomorrow, but it is not forecast to be too hot, so that should be fine.
Key: Complain about this post
