My confused period mean some of the sins committed and mentioned in thsi piece I suppose I did, whilst trying to come to terms with who I am. Now I'm me the article manages to encourage me. I'll 'come out' here too then, as an ex-CU member, ex-scaryfundamentalist, Lesbian, who was received into the Catholic Church last Easter. How's that for a nice mess of contradictions.

Actually, the church my partner and I attend is really really friendly - the Fr. there even gave us a blessing ceremony when we got engaged. And our friends from church know about our relationship and are nothing but supportive.

So there is good stuff out there as well as bad - it'd be nice to see a bit more of the postitive. Metropolitan Community Church and LGCM are more than just "reactionary" - they are a positive challenge to the homophobia of the Church.
