I hope this is ready. Apologies if you think not. It's been in the Writing Workshop for a while. I hope it's done now.
Thanks,

Hi Bookmouse and welcome to PR I'm glad you've posted this entry here.
Having read it, I followed the link to the EG entry on Lewis (A33310450). I was interested to note that this did not mention The Great Divorce at all, a point that was picked up in one of the discussion threads after it hit the Front Page. You are definitely filling a gap with this piece
There are a couple of issues to do with House Style (format of dates for example) but don't worry about those, they can be dealt with later.
This entry covers a field which I do not feel well qualified to comment on, so I'll leave it to others to do that, but good work

A good and fair precis of the work.
Those only familiar with the Narnia series will be interested to look at this work, which is very accessable and engagingly written.

This is a good introduction to this little book of Lewis' and about the only thing I'd like to see is a few more entries in the 'further reading' section.
A.N.Wilson's Bio' of Lewis would be a good counterpoint to Roger Lancelyn Green & Walter Hooper's 'Official' Bio and perhaps George Sayer's Bio' of Lewis as well ( I think it's called Jack).
Much of Lewis' work is open to differing interpretation and some describe this particular novella in glowing terms (A.N.Wilson for instance)and others differ about it's merits (Arend Smilde for instance).
There is a recording of Lewis reading the preface to this book available through the Episcopal Radio and Television Foundation of Atlanta Georgia.
These things may or may not be of interest to anyone who reads this entry.
Cheers

This looks fine to me. There are a few minor style things, but nothing a sub-editor couldn't handle.
Does any Scout agree?

Yup. It seems, to me, to be the right length and to cover all the pertinent facts. (I speak in ignorance, as I have not read this book.)
Good Entry!

This is really interesting.
Personally, I am fond of 'The Great Divorce', and it is the only work of Lewis' which I have enjoyed, as I tend to be quite cross with him.
The background of the novel and the discussion of its influences, really adds something to my appreciation of the work. Thank you. I had no idea that Lewis thought of his book as a response to Blake's.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
