h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The current TV Adverts for HP Sauce in the UK claim that "HP Sauce makes a bacon sandwich". This is rubbish. My bottle of HP Sauce has been sitting on the shelf in the kitchen for several weeks now, and it hasn't so much as kept an eye on the grill while I butter the bread.

My theory: the copywriter who came up with that slogan still lives with his Mum, who always makes him a bacon buttie before he comes home from work. She leaves the sauce bottle next to the sandwich in case he fancies brown sauce, so he thinks that the sauce has made the sandwich, says "Thank you very much" (always polite when his Mum's around) and never realises who makes his sandwiches and why his socks always manage to put themselves back in the sock drawer and why ... time for my tablet I think.
